Subkultuur Haus Elektra invites you to the anniversary gathering!

Special guests of the event – SYNAPSCAPE from Germany.

Synapscape is one of the best known German industrial projects.

Before the start of project activity in 1995 its members Philipp Münch and Tim Kniep together with nascent Asche, Morgenstern, M.O.A.T.A. Omen and The Rorschach Garden members were in a formation Ars Moriendi – important phenomenon in German underground electronic music in the beginning of ’90s.

All of their records Synapscape have released on Ant-Zen – one of the leading innovative electronic music record label in Western Europe, and their discography contains 11 full albums or compilations of compositions, that is excluding 7” releases. With the very first release, the project has decidedly developed their sound, brawling through the barriers of electronic music genres, yet on average keeping their distinctive rhythm-noise line, which literally „kicks in”. Important to say that they are one of the cornerstones of this musical concept together with Esplendor Geometrico, Winterkalte and Imminent. Synapscape performance is very attractive, full of energy and unforgetable, therefore they are honorable guests in almost all Western European rhythm-industrial festivals, for instance, Machinenfest, Decibelio, Schlagstrom, Elektroanschlag, and also special guests in American cult home of industrial music das Bunker and Canadian festival Kinetik. Punk energy, industrial sharpness and bitterness with harsh vocals, wit has formed them to the leaders. 9 years has been passed since their last performance in Latvia as part of Riga 800 celebration.

Members of Synapscape are also in minimal wave / synth pop formations Rasputeen and The Rorshach Garden, indstrial / noise projects Monokrom, Templegarden’s (with Moctan, Asche and Morgenstern), Cell Auto Mata (with Celluloid Mata), The Invincible Three (with Imminent), Rasputeen In Heavy Leather (with Catholic Boys in Heavy Leather) Mandelbrot and many more.

Unholy Necromancer is a conceptual performance project. The stagings idealogically borrow influences and features from biomecanics, metaphysics, black humour and tragedy. Irony and form of expression in them balances at the border of absurd. Performances are being confered as ordinally numbered unholy necromancer mistakes and are enumerated randomly.

Hezzel is rising technoid industrial/rhythm noise project from Olaine, which soon got the attention, thanks to net-releases „Under Pressure” and „Magnet”. Noiserhythms, outspoken melody and bass lines and dub, techno and tribal features. Hezzel is also dark ambient /  drone sideproject Macabro. Looks like there is much more to await from this individual.
